About Emma
Emma was born and educated in Surrey and currently works as a police constable in the Mounted Branch of the Metropolitan Police. She is based at Great Scotland Yard, Whitehall, London.

She joined the Royal Parks Constabulary in February 1993 and trained at Ashford in Kent for six months. She then spent a few months on foot patrol in Hyde Park before joining the Mounted Branch in October of the same year.
Her experiences, both funny and serious, inspired her to write a series of books about the life and work of Freddie from his point of view. In 2013 her first book, Freddie Changes the Guard at Buckingham Palace, was published and in 2016 the second in the series, Freddie Goes Back to School was released. The third book in the series, Freddie Windsor Goes to Football, waspublished in Spring 2019.
Emma loves to travel and often combines this with her love of animals and wildlife. Her favourite trips include trekking in Uganda to see the gorillas, visiting Borneo for the Orang-utans and travelling to Thailand to care for elephants.
Emma lives in Sevenoaks, Kent with her husband and daughter.
